Lisa M. Magorien

Lisa Magorien is a senior associate at Andrews • Lagasse • Branch & Bell LLP. Her practice focuses on employment litigation and the defense of corporations and organizations in a variety of legal claims, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour matters. Ms. Magorien also represents employers and businesses in the defense of class and collective actions in State and Federal Court, including PAGA claims. Ms. Magorien counsels employers on employment related issues including classification of employees, overtime and meal and rest period policies, hiring, promotion, discipline, termination, leaves of absence laws, and preparation of personnel policies and procedures.

Ms. Magorien was featured in the San Diego Daily Transcript as a Top Young Attorney for 2014. Ms. Magorien was recognized by California Super Lawyers as a Rising Star Attorney for 2016 and 2017.

Prior to joining Andrews • Lagasse • Branch & Bell LLP, Ms. Magorien was an associate with a boutique employment firm where she gained extensive experience in employment litigation including class action litigation. Ms. Magorien received her J.D. in 2008 from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a member and student editor for the International Law Journal. Ms. Magorien also worked as a Teacher's Assistant for the first year contracts course. In 2005, Ms. Magorien earned a B.A. in international relations and fine arts from the University of San Diego and graduated with academic honors.

Ms. Magorien is a volunteer with the San Diego County Foster Youth Mentor Program. Ms. Magorien also enjoys oil painting during her free time. She is admitted to the State Bar of California and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
