Kelly Drew Folger

Kelly Drew Folger is a partner at Andrews • Lagasse • Branch & Bell LLP. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, primarily in the areas of employment law, education law, construction and personal injury. Ms. Folger’s employment practice includes defending corporations and organizations in a variety of legal claims including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour matters, and employee classification issues. Ms. Folger also counsels employers on issues of hiring, promotion, discipline, termination, leaves of absence laws, overtime compensation and development and implementation of affirmative action and best practices manuals. Ms. Folger's education law practice includes defending academic institutions in a wide variety of claims, including student harassment, retaliation and discrimination claims, and contract and employment disputes.  Ms. Folger also counsels schools for the purpose of complying with various legal requirements, such as Title IX of the Education Amendments, FERPA, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and other statutory and regulatory requirements.  Ms. Folger’s construction practice focuses on the defense of product manufacturers, contractors, architects, and engineers in construction defect and related claims. She also represents a variety of defendants in premises liability and personal injury claims.

Ms. Folger received her J.D., cum laude, in 2007 from Gonzaga University School of Law, where she competed for two years on the National Appellate Advocacy Competition Team and served as secretary of the Moot Court Honors Council.

In 2004, Ms. Folger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in journalism from Gonzaga University. While attending college, Ms. Folger was named an All-American Mock Trial Attorney by the American Mock Trial Association.

Ms. Folger is an active member of the Society of Human Resources and serves on the Board of Directors in her local chapter, the Inland Northwest Society of Human Resources. She also volunteers on the personnel committee for the Ronald McDonald House of Spokane.  Ms. Folger is admitted to the State Bar of Washington, the State Bar of Idaho, and the State Bar of California.
