Speaking Engagements

On March 21, 2017, Kelly Folger and Erin DeNatale presented on fundamentals of insurance ethics to the Spokane CPCU Society Chapter at its Annual Ethics Day. The presentation involved discussions of ethical dilemmas faced by insurance professionals and solutions for resolving them. 

On September 16, 2016, Jennifer Branch will serve as a panelist durnig a presentation entitled "Confused by the Smoke?  (Almost) Everything You Wanted to Know about Marijuana in the Workplace but Were Afraid to Ask" at the National Association of Minority and Women Law Firm's annual conference in Houston.

On June 16, 2016, Jennifer Branch & Lisa Magorien presented a webinar for the San Diego Society of Human Resource Management regarding "Compliance With San Diego’s Earned Sick Leave – Minimum Wage Ordinance.”

On April 20, 2016, Jonathan Andrews served as a panelist for a presentation entitled "Bringing Your Inner Entrepreneur to Your Legal Career," hosted by the California Minority Counsel Program. 

On April 14, 2016, Mike O'Connor presented "Risk Management & Consideration of Best Practices" to the Football Bowl Association and its national College Football Bowl Games members at the FBA's Annual Meeting in Jacksonville, Florida. 

On October 1, 2015, Traci Lagasse and Jennifer Hamilton presented a seminar titled “Expanded Liability for Design Professionals: What Does It Mean and What Can We Do?” at the Professional Liability Defense Federation’s Annual Conference in Chicago.  

On May 15, 2015, Traci Lagasse spoke at the West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Seminar, the largest construction conference in the country, on a panel discussion titled “Into the Void: Self-Insured Retentions and the Insolvent Insured.” 

On February 9, 2015, Jennifer Branch facilitated a discussion about “Workplace Privacy under the National Labor Relations Board’s Recent Interpretations of the National Labor Relations Act” for the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firm’s  “Employment Law Think Tank.”

On February 8, 2015, Kelly Folger gave a presentation titled “Beyond the Schoolyard: Workplace Bullying” for the Inland Northwest Society for Human Resource Management (INSHRM).

On January 21, 2015, Jennifer Branch spoke about California’s new Paid Sick Leave Law at the San Diego Society for Human Resource Management 2015 Law Day.

Jon Andrews and Jennifer Branch spoke on "Are you in Compliance? Tips to Avoid Wage Claims and the Associated Hefty Penalties” at the July Brown Bag Program for Association of Corporate Counsel, San Diego Chapter on July 10, 2014.

Margi Bell spoke on an "Update on Disability Discrimination Law and Related Trends in the Workplace” at the 2014 Society for Human Resource Management Annual Conference and Exposition, held in Orlando, Florida on June 22-25, 2014.

Jennifer Branch presented her bi-annual webinar on the "Prevention of Unlawful Harassment, Discrimination & Retaliation in the Workplace" on April 4, 2014 and October 23, 2014, in conjunction with Christian Brothers Risk Management Services.

On February 12, 2014, Kelly Folger spoke at the annual Spokane County Insurance Adjuster's Association conference in Spokane, Washington on the topic of ethics for insurance professionals. Ms. Folger's presentation, "A Primer on Insurance Ethics," focused on the fundamental ethical duties of insurance professionals and best practices for confronting unethical conduct.

On January 22, 2014, Jennifer Branch spoke about "Emerging Technologies - Changing the Way We Work and Think about HR" during the San Diego Society for Human Resource Management's 2014 Law Day.
